Remembrance Day events were held across Saskatchewan on Tuesday as Canadians paused to honour the sacrifices of the men and women who served in uniform.

In Regina, an indoor Remembrance Day service – including a parade of veterans, RCMP and community groups – was held at the Brandt Centre.

A memorial service and wreath laying also took place outdoors at the cenotaph in Victoria Park.

Following the services, there was an open house at the WA WA Shrine Temple on Hamilton Street, where visitors got an opportunity to meet veterans.

Remembrance Day services were also held at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw and the Nexera Flexihall at Yorkton’s Gallagher Centre.

In Swift Current, there was a parade at the cenotaph and a service at the local high school.

A service was also held at Estevan Comprehensive High School, followed by lunch and entertainment at the local Royal Canadian Legion.
