The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed defensive lineman Tearrius George and released safety James Patrick, kicker Sandro DeAngelis and receiver Clay Cooke.

George is returning for his third season with the Riders. He had 18 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks and one recovered fumble in 18 games last season.

Patrick had spent five seasons with the Green and White, in which he registered 227 defensive tackles, 18 interceptions and two quarterback sacks.

DeAngelis is an eight-year CFL veteran who signed with the Riders in August. He made 30 of 39 field goal attempts last season.

Cooke spent most of last season on the practice roster as an eligible junior.
