Sask. RCMP report train derailment near Cabri

Saskatchewan RCMP say a train derailed next to Highway 32 near Cabri, which is approximately 65 kilometres northwest of Swift Current.

According to a press release, RCMP, EMS and the fire department attended the on scene Tuesday evening.

RCMP said six cars left the tracks. The driver of the train was not injured. Detours were in place and drivers were asked to avoid the area.

The incident has been reported to the Transportation Safety Board, which is currently assessing the matter.
