The Saskatchewan government has launched a new website that shows which public buildings contain asbestos.

The new online asbestos registry will allow users to search the database to see which public buildings contain asbestos, where they are located and the type of asbestos.

Owners of public buildings can log into the database and update information on any buildings that contain asbestos.

Saskatchewan is currently the only Canadian province with a web-based asbestos registry for public buildings.

The asbestos registry can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/asbestos.
