REGINA -- The province announced seven new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Monday, and seven more recoveries.

Seven people are in hospital in Saskatchewan. Four patients are receiving inpatient care and one person is in ICU in Saskatoon. In Regina one person is receiving inpatient care and one person is in ICU.

The total number of recoveries is now 88, and 169 of the province's 260 total cases are considered active.

Twenty-five cases are healthcare workers.

 

Saskatoon continues to see the most cases with 131. Regina has 52 cases, 48 in the north, 15 in the south, 10 in the central region and four in the province’s far north.

 

One hundred and fifteen cases are considered travel related. 80 cases are community contacts, 13 have no known exposure and 52 are still under investigation.

A total of 53 per cent of cases are in men and 47 per cent are in women.

There are 112 cases in people aged 20 to 44, 92 in people aged 45 to 64, 43 in people over 65 and 13 in people under 19.

 

The province says 14,722 tests have been performed to date.
