A second suspect is facing a murder charge in connection with the death of a Regina man earlier this week.

Michael Elwin Goodpipe, 33, of Regina has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 56-year-old Andre Joseph Aubertin. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday afternoon.

Goodpipe was arrested Wednesday following a nine-hour standoff at a house in the 1100 block of McTavish Street. A 26-year-old woman was also taken into custody.

On Tuesday morning, police were dispatched to a weapons call and a report of an injured man at a house in the 1000 block of Princess Street. EMS transported Aubertin to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
