A second teen has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing that sent a 36-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman to hospital.

The incident happened at a home on the 700 block of Garnet Street around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Police believe that an altercation broke out between people who were visiting the home and spilled over into the alley. Investigators say the woman tried to intervene.

Three people left the scene before police arrived, but a knife believed to have been used in the assault was found in the alley.

A 15-year-old boy had previously been charged with attempted murder in the case, and police have now charged a 15-year-old girl with two counts of attempted murder.

Neither of the teens can be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Regina police at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
