A small plane went off the runway and flipped over at the Carlyle airport Tuesday morning.

RCMP say the single-engine Cessna 172 was taxiing after a training flight when the incident happened.

The plane was damaged but the male pilot wasn't hurt.

The airport was closed for about two hours while RCMP investigated.

A spokesperson for the Transportation Safety Board says the agency won’t be investigating the incident.
