A man was airlifted to hospital after a single-vehicle rollover on a highway east of Regina.

STARS air ambulance was called in after the crash on Highway 619, about 20 kilometres south of Indian Head, on Wednesday morning.

RCMP say it appears a pickup truck was driving around a curve when it left the highway and rolled down an embankment.

The driver, a 30-year-old Wynyard man, was ejected from the vehicle in the crash.

He was transported by ground ambulance to Montmarte, then airlifted to hospital in Regina by a Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society helicopter.

Mounties say the highway was covered with snow, but it isn’t known if road conditions were a factor.

Traffic on the highway was delayed for several hours while police investigated.
