STARS transports man to Saskatoon hospital after crash in Moose Jaw

STARS Air Ambulance transferred a Moose Jaw man to hospital in Saskatoon after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night.
Moose Jaw Police and EMS were called to the 700 block of Manitoba Expressway where a pickup truck crashed into a tree at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The male driver of the truck was driving eastbound on the expressway when he lost control and slid sideways across both lanes, colliding with a tree off the south shoulder of the road, a police news release said.
Police said the lone-male passenger of the truck suffered several injuries and was taken to Moose Jaw Union Hospital. The male driver of the truck was also taken to the Union Hospital but he had life threatening injuries and was alter transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon by STARS Air Ambulance.
The news release said alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
