A third suspect has been arrested following a homicide on a Saskatchewan reserve.
RCMP say they were called to a report of a fight at a home on the Red Earth First Nation early New Year’s Day.
A man was found unconscious at the scene. He was taken to hospital in Nipawin, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Duril McKay from the Red Earth First Nation. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Winnipeg.
Lenny Head, 20, and 26-year-old Tyson Whitehead were both arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The two were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning in Nipawin.
A third suspect, 19-year-old Douglas Head, faces similar charges. He was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon and is set to appear in court in Carrot River on Thursday morning.
