Three people were taken to hospital after a house fire in Whitewood, Sask.

Police and emergency crews responded to the fire in the 900 block of Fourth Avenue on Thursday evening.

RCMP say small explosions were heard in the community while the home burned.

Fire crews put out the blaze before the building was completely engulfed in flames.

Three males, all under the age of 19, were in the home at the time. One of them, an 18-year-old man, was transported by STARS air ambulance to hospital in Regina with serious injuries.

The other two were taken to hospital in Broadview and have since been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimate was available.
