There were reports of a tornado and funnel clouds near Saltcoats, just southeast of Yorkton, on Monday.

Tornado watches and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for several areas of east-central Saskatchewan, but they have since been lifted.

Environment Canada says storm spotters reported a tornado between Yorkton and Bredenbury near Saltcoats, and funnel clouds were also sighted in the area.

The agency says it had been tracking a line of thunderstorms stretching from Kamsack to Peebles.

The thunderstorms moved into Manitoba on Monday afternoon, prompting tornado warnings in southern parts of the province.
