It's a traffic jam like no other in Saskatchewan.

Vehicles were backed up for eight kilometres Thursday – from the Craven Country Jamboree gates all the way to Lumsden.

A heavy downpour that dumped two inches of rain on the grounds a day earlier is partly to blame.

It forced gates to close to further campers overnight and the next day, there were twice as many people all trying to get in at once.

The grounds were still muddy Thursday. Cindy Balon from Wakaw says she had a camping spot staked out, but couldn’t get her trailer in.

Cravengoers are accustomed to long waits and mud. Some say things are moving along better than expected.
