Police are investigating after two armed robberies on Sunday.

The first call came in from an independent convenience store on the 4900 block of Dewdney Avenue around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday.

A man with a gun reportedly entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes. He left with an undisclosed amount of both.

Around 9:56 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Albert Street North after a man with a gun reportedly also entered a business and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

Police are not sure if the two robberies are related or not, but they are considering the possibility.

Police have not released a description of the suspect in either case.
