Two Manitoba men have been charged following a recent rash of arsons and thefts in Melfort.

Cody Nowosad, 23, and 20-year-old Cory Wiebe from Winnipeg are both charged with 13 offences, including four counts of arson, two counts of breaking and entering and three counts of theft under $5,000.

RCMP say three separate fires damaged several vehicles, a camper trailer and the exterior of a home on in Melfort on June 1.

No one was injured.

Nowosad appeared in court in Melfort on Tuesday and was remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing in Tisdale on Friday.

Wiebe is still at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Wiebe is described as Caucasian, five foot-nine, 160 pounds with brown hair. He has a tattoo on his right hand between his thumb and forefinger.
