Two Regina homes decorated with Christmas lights for a worthy cause
For almost the last decade, Terry Burant spends months decorating the outside of his home with thousands of lights, just in time for Christmas.
"I've just always loved Christmas. You know, I start out with a couple strings of lights and just got hooked. Every year just kept building on that to get to what you now see,” he said.
His love for Christmas goes beyond the light display. He also collects donations from the public to give back to a charity close to his heart.
"We campaign with the Canadian Cancer Society, which for me personally my family was greatly affected by cancer and so many Canadian families. I think it's really an important cause to help support."
"The Canadian Cancer society really relies on the generosity of Canadians like Terry, to fund lifesaving cancer research and nationwide support programs so that people facing cancer rely on,” said David Basco, the Director of Integrated Campaigns with the Canadian Cancer Society.
