Three people are in hospital with serious injuries after two semi-trailers collided head-on east of Wynyard.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on Highway 16, about three kilometres west of Elfros, at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The male driver of one semi and a man and a woman in the other rig suffered serious injuries in the crash and were taken to hospital. One of the semis later burst into flames.
Highway 16 will be closed for several hours at the scene while police investigate. Traffic is being diverted and drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible.
