RCMP are looking for two people who took a dog from an animal shelter in Yorkton last month.

The dog was found running loose in the 200 block of First Avenue North on Aug. 23 and was taken to the SPCA, where it was tied to the interior lobby door.

Mounties say a man and a woman came to the shelter looking to adopt a dog, but instead they grabbed the one at the door and left. The two were last seen heading towards the Superstore.

The dog is described as an 11-year-old black-and-white Shih Tzu.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Yorkton Municipal RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
