Underwater search for missing boy expected to resume Tuesday

The Fort Qu’Appelle Fire Department continued the search for seven-year-old Greagan Geldenhuys, north of the town around the dam.

The Water Security Agency shut down the dam Saturday, so the current would not interfere with the search .

The Fort Qu’Appelle Conservation Officers, ARSU 1 Amphibious Response Unit and volunteer certified rescue divers were out searching Saturday.

“We’ve had support from all over the province,” Dave Sabirsh,Fort Qu’Appelle Fire Chief said. “It’s really been quite overwhelming.”

Sabirsh made special mention of the RCMP helicopter from Alberta, dive teams that came from Regina and numerous volunteers on land.
