Custer was out picking mushrooms with his family 5 kilometres south of the Hanson Lake highway Tuesday night, east of Lac la Ronge, when they got separated. Most of the group headed back to their vehicles when an intense storm rolled through the area but Custer was nowhere to be found. The family searched but couldn't find any traces. Custer didn't have keys to any of the vehicles, and was left the remote area.

Deschambault Lake RCMP have brought in police dogs to help with the search.

Search and Rescue conducted a search of the area Wednesday afternoon, with no results. In addition, an air search was conducted, and local residents assisted the RCMP search. RCMP members are continuing the search Thursday.

Custer is described as slim, 5'9", with brown eyes, black hair, a moustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt, jeans, and a black hat. If you have information regarding his disappearance, please call police or Crime Stoppers.
