An investigation is underway after a woman died in police custody on Saturday.
A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital in Indian Head from the RCMP detachment cell area on Saturday afternoon. She was pronounced dead around 5:00 p.m. in hospital.
The RCMP has requested that the Regina Police Service conduct an independent investigation into the death.
The name of the woman has not been released.
