Electoral History

Regina City was split in 1996 into Regina East and Regina Lake Centre. Both went NDP with Les Benjamin in the latter from 1968 until his retirement in 1993. It became Regina West from 1976 to 1987 and Regina Lumsden in 1987. John Solomon replaced Benjamin as NDP MP in 1993. This riding was created in 1996 (It was named Regina-Arm River but changed quickly) Solomon won in 1997. Solomon lost in 2000 to Larry Spencer of Alliance. Spencer quit after a term and in 2004 the seat went to Conservative Tom Lukiwski. He won again in 2006, 2008 and 2011.
