Two people are facing several charges following a police investigation into the theft of appliances, electronics and furniture from hotel rooms in Regina.

On Tuesday, police in Moose Jaw informed their Regina counterparts that two people suspected of committing fraud and theft were possibly at a hotel in the Queen City.

Regina police located a 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman at a hotel in the Harbour Landing area. Officers found that the man was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching the conditions of his release. He also had outstanding warrants from Melville and Esterhazy.

Tyler Curtis Gurskey, 35, of Regina and 33-year-old Jennifer Woodford of no fixed address have each been charged with various fraud- and theft-related offences. Both were scheduled to appear in provincial court Wednesday morning.

Regina police say they are continuing to investigate, along with the RCMP and other police services, to determine whether the suspects are connected to similar unsolved cases.
