CTV has learned a doctor charged with sexual assault in Ontario may have resided in Saskatchewan.

Amitabh Chauhan was charged last week with administering a noxious substance and gang sexual assault.

Chauhan and Dr. Suganthan Kayilasanathan are accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in a hotel room after putting a substance in her drink at a bar in Toronto on Feb. 13.

Police found a valid Saskatchewan driver's license in Chauhan's wallet when he was arrested.

Const. Tony Vella says Toronto police are now investigating a second complaint involving Chauhan.

The 32-year-old doctors were remanded in custody Saturday and are due back in court Wednesday.
