Highway closures in place as winter driving conditions return

After receiving another big dump of snow over the past couple of days, Saskatchewan drivers have had to contend with some treacherous driving conditions.

As of Friday at 2 p.m., the Highway Hotline advised drivers that Highway 1 from Swift Current to Gull Lake is closed due to reduced visibility, swirling snow, drifting snow, and ice.

Saskatchewan RCMP asks drivers to postpone travel plans for the area.

There are no extreme cold or snowfall warnings currently in place for southern Saskatchewan.
