Regina police say a body that was discovered near Wascana Lake earlier this week has been identified as that of a missing 44-year-old B.C. man.
Police say the man had recently lived in Fort Qu’Appelle, and was reported missing to authorities in that area earlier this month. His family has been notified of his death.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was found Monday near the south end of Willow Island on the north side of Wascana Lake.
Police say they determined that the death was not a criminal case soon after the body was discovered.
