Police say they suspect arson in a fire that damaged a building on a northern Saskatchewan reserve.

Fire officials and RCMP officers are investigating the blaze that broke out on the second floor of the Montreal Lake First Nation's band office.

The building also houses the RCMP detachment, but Mounties say the fire isn't being seen as an attack on police property.

No one was hurt, but three of the band's administrative offices were damaged.

Crews had to scramble from two other communities because the band has no fire department of its own.

The fire was put out in less than an hour.
