A 19-year-old woman is facing a drug charge after an explosion at a house in Regina’s Cathedral neighbourhood.
Police say someone was using butane to heat cooking oil when the gas drifted down the stairs and was ignited by the furnace Monday night.
Three men, ages 18 to 19, suffered burns and two of them remain in hospital. A 39-year-old woman who was inside the home at the time wasn’t hurt.
Shortly after the explosion, another woman came to the house and was later charged following an investigation.
Natasha Myria Fritzke of Regina is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Authorities say more charges are expected to be laid in the case.
