A large excavator is just one piece of equipment that will eventually tear down the decades-old structures.
The demolition is making way for a new international trade centre that will house three multipurpose facilities, as well as a mezzanine.
The $38 million facility will be used year-round. Construction on the 150,000-square-foot centre is scheduled to be complete in fall 2017.
