Just two days after being hit by freezing rain, parts of Saskatchewan were hit by another round Saturday night.

A low pressure system moved through the province last night, bringing with it a mix of freezing rain and snow.

The freezing rain warning has now been lifted, but conditions are still poor.

The Regina RCMP are urging motorists to use extreme caution when traveling in Regina and the surrounding area. City streets and the surrounding highways are extremely icy.

A portion of the Ring Road between Victoria Avenue and Wascana Parkway was closed Sunday morning due to semi trucks jack knifed across the road and icy conditions. The road is now open, however, police are still urging caution. Sanding crews have been out, but portions are still wet and there may be icy patches.

Regina Police say most of the city’s secondary streets are still icy.

Police reported there were 15 collisions that resulted in property damage and one that resulted in minor injuries between 6 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Hotline's has lifted their travel not recommended warning in for the entire Regina area.

Various highways across the province have poor conditions ranging from snow packed to icy conditions.
