Sections of Regina roads were under water on Sunday, after heavy rainfall over the weekend reportedly brought close to 100 mm to the Queen City.
Flooding most notably caused three cars to be swallowed up by water under the Albert Street bridge near Saskatchewan Drive. No injuries were reported.
As of Sunday evening, isolated flooding is also occurring on 14th Avenue, near the General Hospital.
Numerous Regina residents have been phoning in with reports of flooded basements, according to the city.
Helena Henning-Hill, manager of sewer and water operations for the City of Regina said that 60 to 100 city employees were out all day Sunday, working to monitor and unplug storm drains.
A further 15 to 30 mm of rain is possible into Monday morning, according to Environment Canada.
