Here's what's open and what's closed in Regina this holiday season
Here’s what residents can expect in terms of city services as Regina slides right into the Christmas holidays.
All civic offices will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1.
Regina’s landfill will be open from 7-3 on New Years Eve but will be closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
For those scheduled to receive waste collection, including garbage, recycling, food and yard waste on Dec. 25 will receive service on Dec. 28 instead.
Regina Transit will offer no services on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The information centre and RIDELine will also be closed on those two days in addition to Dec. 27.
Transit services will be available on Dec. 26 with Sunday routes and schedules.
Paratransit service will continue with reduced hours over the holidays. They include Dec. 25 (8-10), Dec. 26 (8-7), and Jan. 1 (8-7).
The offices for Riverside Memorial Park and Regina Cemeteries will be closed for Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. Gates will be open from 8-6 on those dates.
The North West Leisure Centre, Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre will be closed on Christmas Day but will be open on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day from 12-6.
Sportplex – Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre will be closed Dec. 25. The facilities will be open Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 from 9-7.
Parking metres will not be in effect Dec. 25, Dec. 26 or Jan. 1.
