Sask. RCMP still searching for man suspected of small-town break-ins spanning years
A man suspected of breaking into offices and small businesses across Saskatchewan over the past number of years has struck again – according to RCMP.
Canora RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a municipal office in Rama, Sask. On Aug. 2.
An investigation determined an unknown suspect broke into the office and stole credit cards and a sum of cash.
The break-in occurred sometime between July 28 and Aug. 2. Canora RCMP continues to investigate the incident.
As part of that investigation, RCMP crime analysts searched for related incidents. After a thorough review of the files, Saskatchewan RCMP believes the Rama incident may be connected to other break-ins committed across southern and central Saskatchewan in recent years.
"A suspect has been observed at several of these break-ins and is described as a male who is over the age of 40," the news release read.
"At the time of the break-ins, he is often seen wearing a face covering or with a hood up over his head. He is often wearing gloves."

As the investigation is ongoing, RCMP said that it is unable to provide a list of all the potentially connected incidents at this time.
However, RCMP previously put out a call for the public’s help in January – highlighting break-ins that were committed in the communities of Coronach and Ogema approximately a year earlier. The man suspected in those incidents is the same man identified in the Rama break-in.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect, or has any information about the break-in committed in Rama, is asked to contact Canora RCMP at 310-RCMP or to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
Rama is located approximately 250 kilometres northeast of Regina.
