Saskatchewan Party leadership candidate Scott Moe has revealed that he was involved in a crash in 1997 that took a life.
Moe said in a written release that he was travelling on a gravel road near Shellbrook. He said he was crossing the highway and was involved in a crash that “resulted in the loss of a person’s life”.
The release goes on to say that alcohol was not a factor in the crash and that Moe received a traffic violation after a full police investigation.
Moe says he addressed the situation with voters during the 2016 general election.
“The fact that a life was lost is something I have lived with every day since this happened.” Moe said in the release.
Moe also has a DUI conviction from 1992.
