A 29-year-old man is facing five charges after a shooting in Pelican Narrows early Saturday morning that sent three teenagers to hospital.
RCMP say they responded to a disturbance at a residence on Jan Street just before 4:30 a.m., where a group of approximately 20 people were attempting to smash windows.
Police say a man exited the home with a .22 rifle and began firing shots.
Three people suffered gunshot wounds – a 15-year-old girl from Flin Flon, Man., a 14-year-old boy from Flin Flon, Man., and a 19-year-old man from Pelican Narrows – and were transported by emergency crews to Flin Flon General Hospital.
All three have since been released.
Travis Alphonse Sewap is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, one count of discharging a firearm with intent and one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
Alcohol is considered to be a factor in this incident.
Sewap will appear in Pelican Narrows provincial court on Monday.
