A 59-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly drove a bulldozer into a house with people inside.

The homeowner says it started around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. She saw the saw the tree on her front lawn bending, and realized a bulldozer was coming towards the house.

The woman took her pets and fled from the house.

The bulldozer went straight through the house to the other side and flipped her vehicle over.

She says the driver of the bulldozer tried to take off in a white truck. Her husband hit the truck with another vehicle, and a struggle took place before the police arrived.

Ronald Fatteicher, 59, of the RM of Calder has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of uttering threats, four counts of mischief over $5000, one count of assaulting a police officer.

Fatteicher is the father of one of the homeowners.

Fatteicher made his first court appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Thursday morning. He is scheduled to appear again on Aug. 2.
