Police riding transit buses in Regina nabbed 34 drivers using cellphones behind the wheel last month.
The initiative, dubbed Operation BusCop, also resulted in 35 tickets for other infractions, such as speeding and not using a seatbelt.
In all, Regina police issued 138 tickets for cellphone use while driving during the month of March.
Police say traffic safety officers will continue the Operation BusCop initiative throughout the year.
