A new poll suggests the Saskatchewan Party has a strong lead over the Opposition NDP as a spring election approaches.
The Mainstreet/Postmedia poll found 51 per cent of respondents said they would support the Sask. Party, compared to 24 per cent for the NDP.
Six per cent of those polled said they would vote Liberal, while the Green Party and Progressive Conservatives garnered three per cent and two per cent support, respectively. Another 14 per cent of respondents were undecided.
The poll, which surveyed 1,508 Saskatchewan residents by phone on Jan. 4, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.53 per cent 19 times out of 20.
Saskatchewan voters will head to the polls April 4.
