Regina’s second homicide victim of 2017 has now been identified. Police say Rodney James Nippi, 46, died after he was assaulted on Sunday.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of 12th Avenue just before 8:00 p.m. on Sunday after a report of the assault.
When they arrived they were told that an assailant had assaulted a man in the home with a weapon before fleeing the scene.
EMS attempted to revive the man, who has now been identified as Nippi, but he passed away from his injuries.
