Police have identified a man and his son as the two people killed in a single-engine plane crash in southern Saskatchewan on Father's Day.

RCMP say Phillip Wimmer, who was 59, and 29-year-old Bradley Wimmer were found dead at the crash site near Lampman.

The Wimmers, both from the Torquay area, had taken off from a private airstrip near that community in a Cessna 172.

Estevan RCMP continue to assist the Transportation Safety Board with the investigation.
