A new Speaker will preside over the activities at the Saskatchewan legislature.
Saskatoon MLA Corey Tochor was chosen by fellow members of the assembly to guide the proceedings and make sure everyone stays in line.
Tochor, who was first elected in 2011, says parliamentary procedure is important to ensure all members' views are heard.
As Speaker, he'll also be working with the sergeant-at-arms on a security review that is already underway at the legislature.
But there is a lighter side to the job, too.
Tochor jokes that his two young boys think their "dad's a pirate now" due to the tricorne hat worn by the Speaker.
