Tornado warnings and watches that were issued in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan late Wednesday afternoon have been lifted.
Just before 4 p.m., Environment Canada warned a severe thunderstorm near Carievale was possibly producing a tornado. The weather agency said up to softball-sized hail was also likely.
A tornado warning was issued for Carnduff, Carievale, Gainsborough and surrounding areas. The warning was later downgraded to a watch, which ended shortly before 5 p.m.
