A tornado watch has been issued for the Yorkton, Melville, and Esterhazy areas.

Environment Canada says a low pressure system developing over northern Montana will track warm, humid air into Saskatchewan this afternoon. When it meets the cooler air moving from the west, severe thunderstorms are expected to develop, which may produce tornadoes.

In the event of a tornado, it is reccomended you go indoors to a room such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell, or interior closet with no windows. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers, or other free standing structures. As a last resort, lie down on the ground and protect your head from flying debris.
