A man and a woman have been charged in connection with a purse snatching in Regina last month.

Police say the incident happened in the 4200 block of Rae Street on the evening of Jan. 25.

A 28-year-old woman was entering her apartment building when another woman followed her inside and grabbed her purse.

After a brief struggle, the perpetrator stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Police arrested a female suspect on an unrelated charge on Feb. 3. The investigation also led to the arrest of a male suspect on Monday.

Twenty-six-year-old Tiffany Toro Pawelko is charged with robbery and breaching an undertaking. She appeared in court Monday.

Authorities have also charged 29-year-old Derek Darelle Fisher with robbery and impersonating a police officer. He is set to make his first court appearance Tuesday.
