Unionized workers waved signs and flags in front of the Saskatchewan legislature to voice their concern about upcoming labour law changes.
Saskatchewan Federation of Labour president Larry Hubich says people aren't happy with the way the government has made the changes without adequate consultation.
The province is overhauling 15 separate pieces of workplace-related legislation into one omnibus labour law.
Labour Minister Don Morgan has said most of those acts have not been comprehensively reviewed in at least 20 years and it's time for an update.
Hubich says what he calls "modest little improvements" will not be sufficient to offset attacks on fundamental rights.
The legislation is expected to be introduced this fall.
