Saskatchewan goes to the polls on April 4. Here's everything you needed to know to be ready for the Saskatchewan Provincial Election:
Q: When is it?
A: Most Saskatchewanians will be heading to the polls on April 4 between 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. central time. Advance polling will be available from March 29 to April 2.
Q: Am I eligible to vote?
A: You can vote if you are a Canadian citizen over the age of 18 who lives in a Saskatchewan electoral district.
Q: What's my Saskatchewan electoral district?
A: Find out what riding you live in here. Alternatively you can call for help at: 1-887-958-8683
Q: Where do I go to vote?
A: Watch your mail in the coming weeks for a Notice of Registration Card, which will list all advance and regular polling locations for your area. Bring this card with you when you go to cast your ballot.
Q: What other identification do I need?
A: A complete list of valid identification documents is provided online.
Q: I'm not on the voters list and didn't receive a Notice of Registration card, but I still want to vote. What should I do?
A: You can be added to the voters list on the day of the election. Simply go to your local polling station and bring the necessary documentation. If you want to get on the list in advance, you can go to your local returning office or advance polling station to register. See the link above for identification requirements.
Q: Am I able to make use of advance polling?
A: Yes. Anyone can vote in advance if they know they won't be able to make it to the polls on election day, either because they'll be out of their home area or simply if they have prior commitments. Advance polling is also another way to avoid election-day lineups, if that's your preference.
Q: Do I need special identification to vote at an advance poll?
A: Regular identification rules apply. For details, click here.
Q: I'm currently living outside of the province, am currently in hospital or currently living outside of my home riding. What should I do?
A: For all information about voting by special ballot, or to download the special ballot form, click here.
