Blakey and other residents of College Park II Seniors Care got a visit from some very large friends---and a trot down memory lane.

"Well they're showing some really nice horses, bringing back some really old memories,” said Ivan Blakley, a resident at the facility.

Blakely was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He farmed until he was 82-years-old.

“…1937. I’ll have been 11-years-old. My dad gave me the job of driving the six horse team. And, for the next 10 to 12 days, I sat behind those horses,” he said.

The Morsky Group of Companies typically showcase their Belgian horses in performances around the country. Today, they steered the reigns to Regina.

"This is a way of giving back to the pioneers of the country. It's kind of like 'come out and meet an old friend.' So, we're going to a few care home and senior homes in Regina and White City so they get a chance to see something from their past," Wayne Morsky, President and CEO of the Morsky Group of Companies.

College Park II says it is home to many Saskatchewan seniors—many of whom have a history with horses.

"They're gentle giants, they're beautiful, they're majestic. When they bow their heads to someone in a wheelchair, so that they can pet their nose, you can now tell that they understand what's going on," said Morsky
