This year’s harvest is wrapping up in Saskatchewan.

As of Thursday, 99 per cent of the crop was in the bin, according to the province’s weekly crop report.

The province says this year’s harvest was a challenging one for producers, who faced frequent rainfall, delayed crop maturity and weed growth.

Crop quality was also an issue in some areas, with most close to or below the 10-year average.

Rainfall throughout the harvest caused sprouting, bleaching and staining in many cereal and pulse crops.

Yields varied across the province and were reported as average in most cases.
