Two people are facing charges after a man suffered serious injuries from being struck multiple times with a golf club during an altercation at a home in Moose Jaw.

Police say they were called to a home in the 1000 block of Oxford Street East last Friday.

One man was taken to hospital, where he received stitches and staples for numerous lacerations.

An investigation found alcohol was a factor and that the two men involved in the altercation assaulted each other, police said.

Jeremy Raymond Lavallee, 34, has been charged with aggravated assault and Garet James Anderson, 28, faces a charge of assault with a weapon.

Both men were released on conditions and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
